Female Genital Piercing
Female genital piercings require dedication. The last thing you ever want is an infection - especially in your nether regions. Even though genital piercings require extreme TLC, many who have them will emphasize that the reward is well worth the sacrifice!
Female genital piercings can take 4 to 16 weeks to heal, the most common are:
Clitoral Hood - vertically or horizontally penetrates the hood above the clitoris.
Fourchette - placed over the perineum at the bottom of the vaginal opening. Many women don't have the extra flap of skin to allow this piercing.
Clitoris - pierced either vertically or horizontally through the clitoris. Most women have a hooded clitoris and are unable support a clitoris piercing.
Triangle - inserted just below the clitoris hood behind the clitoris. Few women are anatomically built for a triangle piercing.
Inner Labia - pierces the stretchy skin of the inner labia.
Outer Labia - pierces the skin tissue of the outer labia.
Christina - a vertical piercing through the V-split at the top of the outer labia.
Things to expect and aftercare to follow:
New genital piercings can bleed for 12 to 24 hours, depending on depth and location.
Wear unscented panty liners for bleeding.
Avoid pantyhose or restrictive clothing.
Use liquid anti-bacterial soap to clean - no creams or alcohols.
Clean genital piercings in a warm shower with a cotton swab.
Avoid feminine sprays.
No intercourse or oral sex for at least a week - use condoms during the entire healing process.
