Male Genital Piercing
Male genital piercing requires a ton of commitment and sacrifice. Men must be prepared to abstain from sexual activity while their piercing heals - anywhere from 2 months to one year.
Men must protect healing genital piercings from saliva, sexual secretions and blood. It's smart to avoid sex in the first week following your piercing as it may be painful. Condoms will protect against infection and STDs during healing.
Some popular male genital piecings include:
Prince Albert - the most common variety, PAs penetrate through the urethra, exiting at the base of the penis head, behind the glans penis.
Reverse Prince Albert - vertically through the top center of the glans.
Apadravya - pierces vertically through the glans at the head of the penis. This combines the PA and reverse PA.
Ampallang - pierces horizontally through the glans penis, either directly through the urethra or just above it.
Guiche - pierces the base of the scrotum, between the legs and near the anus.
Scrotum or Hafada - the scrotum's elastic skin allows it to be pierced almost anywhere.
Dydoe - penetrates through the edge (or glans) of the penis' head. This piercing can only be performed if the ridge/glans is thick enough for the needle and jewelry.
Fermium - pierces under the shaft, in the stretchy area that attaches the foreskin to the penis head.
Foreskin -only performed on uncircumcised men.
