The Leo Diamond™, also known as the Leo Schachter diamond, has a patented symmetrical cut that allows light to enter the diamond in such a way that the maximum amount of light is returned back in a sparkling flash known as scintillation. Leo diamonds have 66 facets, instead of the 58 facets with traditional brilliant cut diamonds.
The Leo diamond is the first diamond ever to be measured and certified for fire, sparkle and brilliance. Each Leo diamond comes with a "Return of Light Certificate" rating.
Return of light is the measure of the difference between the amount of light that enters the top of the diamond and returns to the eye. This is the amount of fire, sparkle and brilliance of the diamond, and is measured using an instrument called a BrillianceScope™.
Every Leo Diamond also comes with a laser-inscribed ID number on its girdle.
