Darya-i-Nur Diamond
The Darya-i-Nur diamond is a flawless, transparent pink diamond estimated at 175 to 195 carats in size. It is the largest and most remarkable gem in the Crown Jewels of Iran, and was one of the spoils of Persia's attack on Delhi in l739.
The Darya-i-Nur diamond is now set in a gold frame with other diamonds, topped by a crown that features lions with ruby eyes clutching scimitars.
This diamond was worn by the last Shah of Iran for his coronation in l967.
