Jewelry Illusion Setting
invisible jewelry setting

The illusion setting, or invisible setting, is used to make the mounted diamonds or gemstones appear larger than they are. Invisible-set diamonds are placed tightly next to each other with the metal of the setting concealed or "invisible" underneath the diamonds, forming a continous surface.

Originally used to set square diamonds, illusion settings can be used to set round diamonds as well. Invisible-set round diamonds are known as Boundless® diamonds.

Advantages

  • makes diamonds appear larger
  • enhances brilliance
