Moissanite Grading at Diamonds Gemstones Jewelry
Moissanite Grading

Like diamonds and other precious gemstones, moissanite are graded in quality based on the four Cs: color, clarity, cut, and carat weight. When selecting loose moissanite, learning the 4Cs can help you make the right choice in terms of preference and cost.

Because moissanite is produced artifically, it does not have the same types of inclusions that real diamonds have. And unlike cubic zirconia (CZ), which is totally flawless & colorless, moissanite is slightly darker and has some very slight flaws visible under magnification.

While the diamond grading scale does not technically apply to moissanite, for the purpose of comparison most jewelry experts will compare moissanite to diamonds in the VS1-VVS clarity range and in the G-J color range.

Moissanite gemstones are such a close match to diamonds that even skilled jewelers cannot tell the two apart. Charles & Colvard's patented tester is the only recommended instrument to distinguish moissanite from real diamonds.

Modern-day fake diamonds such as moissanite are hard to tell from the real thing and can offer you an alternative to high-priced diamond jewelry. Check out some of the links below if you may be interested in buying moissanite jewelry ¬
